Let's take a peek of an event that was organized for Ferrero Asia at Nirwana Gardens, Bintan.
The Event
The WOW Consultants was approached to program a 2 day 1 night program for Ferrero Asia’s retreat at Bintan Nirwana
Garden. The objective of the session is to focus on fostering better working relationship and improve communications
between colleagues.
For the WOW Consultants, our priorities are our client’s needs, therefore a series of meetings and brain storming was done by
our creative consultants. To further pamper our clients, we propose different proposals which they could choose to best fit their
event! Presentations and discussion were done as well to further explain on the concept of the program.
The Planning
The key focus for the team was to introduce a series of exciting activities to be encompassed in an Amazing Race
Concept. Having the event at Nirwana Gardens, allows us to make use of the readily available activities and with a spark
of creativity from the team change the dynamic of the game!
For Day 2 the team was introduced to the popular and affective Combat Teambuilding Program. This session was
established by the pioneer of Combat Skirmish, Mr Joshua Tay and also our Chief Facilitator in The WOW Consultants.
Having started in 2005, the program has benefitted many organisations such as Banks, Multi National Companies and even our Local
Government Agencies! So definitely this would be the perfect summary to our participants from Fererro!
The Actual Event
The participants start with a series of “Warm-up” Ice breakers conducted by our Chief Facilitator, Mr Jason Leo
Carroll. This serves as a gradual build up to more intensive games for the Amazing Race perfect for a cross department retreat.
Serving up next was the start for the Bintan Amazing Race! A series of stations such as Bloop Challenge, Beach Riddle Challenge, Archery, Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting and Jungle Survival was some stations which the teams would get to enjoy during
the race.
After a good work out of fun and laughter, the participants ended the night with a well deserved dinner at the beautiful Kelong
Restaurant. With the participants well settled in for the night, our team moves on to the preparation for the 2nd day’s program.
Day 2 marks the finale for the teambuilding event, with Combat Skirmish Teambuilding to mark the champion
team. Teams are assigned Combat Skirmish Laser Guns which range from different size and weight. Before the war starts, teams are given
careful instructions on different strategic planning skills and leadership guidance.
With the blow of the whistle, team starts to engage each other and our facilitators begin their observation on different group dynamics, team orientation and leadership qualities. These are debriefed to the participants after the 1st mission, so as to enhance their
performance for the subsequent mission.
Rounding Up
To round of the whole event, our Chief Facilitator runs through different observations and group dynamics pertaining to the whole team.
The activities are also brief in relation to common office scenarios to benefit leaders in the company on resolving Office
Conflicts, HR Issues, Strategic Planning and Management Skills.
Employees are shown effective Communication Skills and Planning Skills to help them
in their daily work in the office.
With a close, the participants from Ferrero left Nirwana Gardens, happy, refreshed and stronger with closer working ties and objective
for the upcoming challenge. We wish them the very best and hope we made a difference to their company.
